Shermont Bradwell, MPH

Shermont Bradwell (He/She/Them) earned their B.A. In Psychology from Binghamton University in 2021. Shermont minored in women, gender, sexuality studies and spent considerable time in the Binghamton Human Sexualities Research Lab as a research assistant. Within the lab Shermont focused on analyzing archival data from the Gay Men’s Health Crisis organization and looking at sexual orientation, sexual behaviors, and sexual attitudes. Shermont earned an MPH at the University of Pennsylvania in 2025, combining previous studies with Public health theory and practices and focused on HIV and sexual health. More recent work experience includes working with the department of public health HIV testing and interviewing for the National HIV Behavioral Surveillance Study. Currently, Shermont works for Jefferson Health on the tele prep team providing a low barrier health option and increasing access to HIV prevention for the Philadelphia community. Shermont’s professional background includes research, administration, community health, and education. Shermont is passionate about HIV, Black LGBT health, health equity, health education, and sexual health. Shermont plans to gain additional hands-on experience in the community and eventually pursue a DrPH or PhD in public health, medical anthropology, or psychology.
